From childhood dreams to a life immersed in equestrian passion, my journey has been anything but ordinary. Horses have always held my heart, but it was in my twenties that the dream truly came alive.
Among all breeds, the Lusitano stole my soul. Their elegance, intelligence, and spirit led me to join the Breed Society, where I ran their national breed shows for a number of years. This sparked a wave of interest from Northern-based Iberian owners, and in response, I founded Elite Equestrian Events in 2015 to bring high-quality local shows to life.
My path, however, hasn’t been without challenge. I went from “all the gear and no idea” to living the equestrian equivalent of upgrading from a Ford Fiesta to a Ferrari & in 2013, I suffered a serious accident that left lasting physical and emotional scars. Despite my determination, I struggled to ride—until I discovered Equipilates. This transformative method helped me understand why my body couldn’t follow my mind’s will, and how unconscious physical signals were triggering fear and flight responses in my horse.
Through training, I uncovered deep-rooted neurological and postural issues that were affecting me both in and out of the saddle. I began to understand how trauma, anxiety, and misalignment were not only limiting my own movement, but also influencing my horse’s behaviour and performance. This awareness became a turning point—not just in my recovery, but in how I approached riding, coaching, and wellbeing.
Through personal healing and professional qualifications, I’ve evolved my business beyond events. Today, I combine coaching, biomechanics, and holistic movement education to help riders understand the deep connection between mind, body, and horse. My work is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and the belief that progress begins with awareness.
Whether through events, coaching, workshops, or mind & movement-based rehabilitation, I’m here to help riders reconnect with their bodies, rebuild confidence, and rediscover joy in the saddle.
